Question by : 10 PTS!?! Roomba Robot Vacuum Question PLEASE HELP!?
I bought a roomba 530 and pluged the dock in and let it charge. It charged overnight but the battery only lasts no more than 43 min and it does not return to the base. It should last 1.5 to 2 hours. It seems like the run time is improving SLOWLY every time it charges. It went from 20 min to 43 min after 5 or so recharge cycles, but still doesnt return to the base (or seem to want to). Any ideas?

Oh, and it only wants to charge for about 1 hour max, when it should take 3. Then the ‘green’ light comes on indicating it is fully charged.

Sometimes the green light comes on when the charge is acceptable, not fully complete. Leave it on the charger for the three hours and see if that improves the situation.

I just started cleaning houses and have an awesome vacuum that I use in my own home. I have been using it in my customers homes. I need to vacuum my own home still, of course, but is it unsanitary to use this vacuum from house to house and then use it in mine? Am I spreading anything? Are there steps or precautions I should be taking?

Spotted hundreds of bees going in hole in tree limb very high above my garage, Very busy hive behavior. They also drink out of my dogs water pale but do not offer to sting me or him. Can this rule out that they are killer bees or does behavior change later?

I am not a bee expert, but..I would think they are just an ordinary bee. However, NO bee is to be messed with in my opinion tho’. Do NOT aggrevate them in any way tho” If anyone is allergic – definately get a professional pest controller there. The “killer” bee, in my understanding, migrates up from South and Central America, so if you live in the southern US they have been spotted, according to what I have read, heard and watched on TV. My best suggestion is to call in a professional to determine what you have, and get rid of it, if that is what they recommend. Stay away from it, and move your dog’s water pail, or your dog so it is safe. Not all bees are “killer” bees, but if a person sustains multiple stiings (like I did from stepping on a ground hive) can be in serious danger even if they are not allergic. Definately call in the Pros on this one!!!

I’m fighting a losing battle. I feel like I wake up and clean til I fall asleep at night, and my house is still a big mess. Any tips for me? I’m so envious of those stay at home moms who has the house that looks like it stepped off the pages of a home interior magazine. Mine looks like a train of monkeys ripped through it….when really it was just my two cats and my 15 month old toddler. Any advice?

I feel ya!! I’ve been saying “how in the world can one little girl make such a mess” LOL!
I leave everything while she’s awake, i don’t waste time trying to clean up after her…she only dumps things right back out. Plus she’s 16 months and into everything, so i can’t turn my back for a second when she’s awake. So i clean up twice a day, nap time and bed time. I say clean up, because i do my thorough cleaning on Saturday afternoon. Sometimes i have to do it with my daughter in a high chair eating, but as a single mom you gotta do what you gotta do

I’m interested in making my own household cleaning products that is environmental friendly and health friendly. But I would like to add a nice scent to it to make my home smell nice. I was thinking of adding essential oils to my homemade creations. Is it a safe choice? If not, is there an alternative?

I would say no. Some essential oils are corrosive, and could cause a serious chemical reaction with ingredients in cleaning products. You would need to do some serious chemical research to figure out what could be mixed. Why don’t you use the cleaning products as they are, and get an oil diffuser to fragrance your home? Or a reed diffuser?
